Strand by strand I slowly build inventive pieces through the coiling technique of basketry with the intent of my labor being to hold ones gaze, curiosity and delight.  Often inspired by the marine environment I live by, my material of choice the last fifteen years has been from a terrestrial animal: there’s a horsetail of a different color in my studio dyed from plant and insect sources, many of which I have cultivated myself yielding a range of complementary colors on this versatile, lustrous fiber.
